The walls of the garden have thousands of individual brass plaques dedicated to those who fought for our freedom. There is a tablet with a large plaque on it displaying the words of "The Ode" and the emblems for each of the service branches. Inscription Plaque: This memorial garden was officially open by THE HONOURABLE R.W. ASKIN M.L.A. PREMIER OF NEW SOUTH WALES ON SUNDAY, 20th APRIL 1969 'In memory of those splendid men whose passing has left a void in the lives of those fortunate enough to share their friendship, the warmth of their affection and their strength of courage in defending the cause of freedom and the rights of man.'
