Description / Background

The obelisk is approximately 140cm high, sitting on a 30cm high plinth. The plinth has four sides and is painted a cream colour. On three sides of the plinth are granite tablets with names of soldiers.

The memorial is located 100 meters North of the North Curl Curl Surf Life Saving Clubhouse.

Note: soldiers L/Cp Sidney H. Liddle and Leslie S. Liddle were Britsh Army.

Inscription

Plaque 1:

In memory of Sgt. W. Goode 8-5-1915 aged 28. Captain S.E. Townshend 9-5-1915 aged 29. PTE. A Barnes 9.5.1915 aged 27.

Men of Anzac Gallipoli.

Plaque 2:

Killed in France - WWI. PTE. D. Robertson 4-5-1917 aged 33. PTE. B.R. Jones 25-6-1917 aged 33. Sgt. S.H. Liddle 2-5-1917 aged 24.
