A small dark bronze plaque attached to the marble backing in the foyer. The inscription and veterans' names are in raised letters, as is a small laurel wreath beneath the Second World War banner heading.
The plaque sits beneath a larger World War 1 wooden honour roll and above a small display case which contains a Remembrance Book recording the names of all teachers who served in both Wars.
Second World War; 1939 - 1945.
In honour of the members of the Head Office and painting and repair staffs of the Department of Education who served in the Armed Forces and to perpetuate the memory of the following Officers who gave their lives.
