Several white marble plaques bearing honour rolls are attached to three sides of this concrete column. It sits on two concrete steps. The memorial commemorates soldiers from the area who served in the First and Second World Wars, Korea and Vietnam.

On the fourth side of the column is the Duri First World War Honour Roll for railway employees.
