Description / Background

Two plaques attached to a brick and concrete plinth, located in the school's quadrangle near the Lone Pine trees. The first is a marble plaque to honour those students who served in the First and Second World Wars. The second is a more recent metal plaque to commemorate Victory in the Pacific (VP) Day 15 August 1945, in the Second World War, as well as remembering all those who served.

The Glen Innes RSL Sub-Branch received a 'Saluting Their Service' grant on 24 July 2005 to install a plaque to commemorate VP Day at the Glen Innes Primary and St Joseph's School.
