Two sandstone arches, one on each side of the entrance to the Lindfield Soldiers Memorial Park, with green wrought iron gates and four long brass plaques with the names of locals who fought in the First World War.

Notes on veteran names:

  • No records can be found for deceased veterans from this area with the following names: F. Gray, A. Johnstone. The status codes for these veterans have been left as KIA as that is what is indicated by the memorial.
  • On the memorial, D. B. Fry is given as B. D. Fry.
  • All other status codes for deceased veterans have been taken from information in the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour and Commemorative Roll and the National Archives of Australia.

1914 - 1919 Roll of Honour. These memorial gates and flag staff are an official war memorial erected by Ku-ring-gai Council and grateful citizens of Lindfield. Your co-operation is requested in the preservation and care of this memorial.

Plaque 2:

Lindfield Soldiers Memorial Recreation Ground Gates were designed by Henry Lockley, Esq, architect and were dedicated 4th November 1922.
