Description / Background

This Honour Roll contains the names of people from Northmead Public School who served in the Second World War. It indicates the names of those who were 'Killed in action' and 'Served in women's forces'. There are over 75 names listed and names have been added as the school has been notified of former students who also served.

The Honour Roll is located in the main corridor, adjacent to the Principal's Office. A special down light highlights it. A function was held at the school on 18 September 1999 to celebrate the 75th Anniversary opening of the school in 1924. Ex-students who had served in the Armed Forces during Second World War were especially invited to this ceremony and the Honour Roll was officially unveiled and dedicated.
