Sir Leslie Morshead Memorial Fountain

A series of 36 tall, vertical brass pipes, fluted at the top, from which water cascades into a shallow red-tiled, circular pool at the base. Surrounding the pool is a larger circular paved area which bears the inscription. At the perimeter of the area are 20 smaller stone pillars. Two of these pillars house the initial dedication plaque and the plaque dedicating the new fountainhead. The memorial is located at an entrance to the Royal Botanic Gardens, opposite the State Library of NSW, Mitchell Library building.
