Sydney Hospital World War 2 Honour Board

Description: 

A large carved, dark wooden board to which are attached three white marble plaques. Veterans' names are engraved on the marble and blackened. Names are grouped according to the veteran's role in the hospital (e.g. nursing staff). A small Sydney Hospital badge is on the top of the middle plaque.

 

Inscription: 

Sydney Hospital. They served 1939-1945. [At the very bottom] x Died of Wounds, o Died of illness, Ө Drowned on the 'Centaur'
