Description / Background

In the front yard of Brunkerville Uniting Church is a memorial garden, which was established in 2018. The focal point of the space is a black granite obelisk, bearing the emblems of the Australian service branches. The obelisk is flanked by two metal flagpoles.

Nearby is a timber fence that has a small bronze plaque attached to its top railing. The plaque is in honour of Private Kevin Wyborn, who served in the Australian Army in the Occupation of Japan (1946–51).

Anzac Day services are held in the garden every year, beginning at 3pm.
