Description / Background

Inside St Mark's Anglican Church in Kentucky, NSW, are two timber benches, which are dedicated to four servicemen from the Second World War. Attached to the front of each bench is a plaque listing their names. The benches were presented by the 'Alpha' Sunday School and are located on the western side of the church.

Hanging on the wall above the benches is a handwritten, paper honour roll. It is presented in a timber frame behind glass. The roll only includes the three servicemen from the bench plaques who were killed in action. It lists their service details and includes a colour drawing of the related unit patches. The roll excludes Private Lindsay Williamson who died of disease.

Access to the memorials are restricted to the opening hours of the church. Commemorative services are held on site.
