Description / Background

This war memorial is a bronze plaque with the emblems of the Australian Military Forces at the top: the Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and Royal Australian Navy (RAN). It lists the names of 43 Australian servicemen who were declared Missing In Action during the Korean War. The names are divided under three headings, as outlined in the Inscription section below.

The plaque is located in the foyer of the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall. There are similar plaques located across NSW.
