Description / Background

The memorial cross is made of freestone, and stands approximately 6 metres high. It is decorated with a relief carving of a sword. The cross is positioned on a octagonal pedestal, with three of the panels inscribed with the names of soldiers associated with the church who served in the First World War. The front panel lists the names of those who paid the supreme sacrifice.
