Description / Background

A stone and wrought iron gateway at the entrance to Carrington Park on the corner of Osman and Church Streets. The memorial is comprised of four pillars, the outer two of which have marble plaques attached bearing the names of First World War service personnel. The inner pillars are inscribed with the names of conflicts in which Australia has been involved from the First World War onwards.
