Description / Background

A stone obelisk, with four sides inscribed with the names of the fallen and those who served in the First World War. Originally dedicated on 4 May 1931, a roll for the Second World War was added at a later date. Behind the obelisk is a brick wall, with multiple plaques attached, including service insignias and dedications to individual soldiers. The memorial is fenced on the other three sides and flagpoles are sited at the rear. The memorial is located on the southern end of the Nambucca Heads RSL Club car park. It was relocated there in 1999.
