Coogee Surf Life Saving Club War Service Roll of Honour

Coogee Surf Life Saving Club War Service Roll of Honour
Description / Background

This honour roll located inside the Coogee Surf Life Saving Club commemorates those who served in conflicts after the Second World War. It is a timber board with fluted sides and a pointed Grecian pediment. There are two timber shelves at the top and bottom. A surf lifesaving reel painted in gold sits at the top of the honour roll above the name of the Club in gold lettering.

There are 15 veterans listed in gold lettering in three columns across the board. The list is divided into nine areas of conflict with the names of veterans from the Royal Australian Air Force, Australian Army and Royal Australian Navy listed under each conflict. The names in each section are not in alphabetical order. There is a small metal plaque centred at the bottom of the board.

The honour roll is available for viewing during Club opening hours.
