Description / Background

The memorial plaque is made of timber in a decorative style and is located within the Ganmain Public School. It features gold lettering and decorations, including the emblem of the Australian Imperial Force placed within a Rising Sun design. It is dedicated to the ex-pupils of the school who served in the Second World War and those who fell. There is no evidence to suggest that an accompanying honour roll was created with their names.

Ganmain is located within the Riverina Region and is 55 kilometres north west of Wagga.

Inscription

Erected to honour the past pupils of this school who served their country in the World War 1939-45 & in memory of the fallen. May they rest in peace.
