Description / Background

The Glenorie Memorial Hall was built in 1932, after the original sandstone School of Arts hall began eroding. The hall is a full-brick construction, with a metal roof. It has decals on the windows of the three military services, a map of Australia, and the RSL symbol.

The hall's foundation stone is dated 1932 and it was opened in 1933. The hall was built by the community for the community, with funds from the sale of sandstone from the original hall and the original Glenorie Public School, which opened in 1888.

The Glenorie Roll of Honor is located next door in Wal Buckingham Memorial Garden.
