Description / Background

A low granite block with a marble plaque attached to the front and rear sides, inscribed with dedications to the First and Second World Wars. The memorial is within the school grounds but is visible from Young Road.

Outside the administrative building are two flagpoles mounted on a brick wall and several brass plaques commemorating the opening of the school.

1914 -18 [Rising Sun Emblem] 1939 – 45

In memory of those

who served their country

in World Wars.

Erected by Moss Vale Sub-Branch

R.S.S. & A.I.L.A.

Memorial - rear

"They shall not grow old as we

that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them

nor the years condemn,

At the going down of the

sun and in the morning,

We shall remember them"

at the official opening 7th August 1964
