A shield-shaped, bronze plaque mounted on a polished wooden board attached to a side wall of the Cathedral. The central inscription is surrounded by an embossed laurel wreath.
Outside the laurel wreath: Pro Deo - Pro Patria 1899 - 1902.
Within the wreath: Sacred to the memory of the Officers and Men of the New South Wales Contingents who gave their lives for Queen and Country South Africa.
