Description

This memorial plaque is dedicated to the church parishioners who lost their lives in World War II.

The Daily Examiner's issue on 7 May 1922 reported that "the un-veiling of the Memorial Tablet to commemorate the memory of those who paid the supreme sacrifice during the last World War... took place in St. Margaret's Church of England". The unveiling took place on Sunday 4 May and the Reverend L R Crossman spoke of "the great cost in human life Australia made to the Allied victory". The newspaper account also listed the ten names on the plaque.

The memorial plaque is on a memorial wall, which features Jesus on a timber cross between two crossed flags, the Union Jack and Australian flags. This plaque is situated underneath the flags, along with the timber plaque dedicated to Sister Margaret Augusta de Mestre.
